The Second Sunday of Easter

John 20:24-31

This week in our church, we continue to celebrate the glory of Easter, the beauty and the power of the empty tomb!  In the message, we will hear the story of the Apostle Thomas, the man who missed out when Christ first appeared to his followers after His Resurrection; the man who would not believe that Christ was alive until he saw him with his own eyes.

Instead of attacking and denigrating Thomas for his doubt, we will celebrate that Thomas stayed with the other apostles despite his misgivings, and we will accept that there is always room for doubt in our faith family.  This message, it speaks directly to each and every one of us who has ever felt shame or embarrassment because we have doubted the power of the Resurrection.
